1. Who we are

Fanswiper ("we", "us") is a search and discovery service for publicly available creator profiles. For privacy questions, contact contact@fanswiper.com.

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, Fanswiper is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

We have deliberately built this service to collect as little as possible. In full:

We do not collect: your browsing history on this site, the profiles you view, the profiles you swipe on, your taste profile, payment details (we take no payments), or your precise location. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, for any price.

3. What stays on your device

TasteDNA, our preference model, runs entirely in your browser. The record of what you swiped, the preferences derived from it, and your match percentages are stored in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted to us or attached to your account.

This is a deliberate design decision rather than a courtesy. A record of what a person finds sexually attractive, tied to their email address, is exactly the kind of database that turns a security incident into a life event for the people in it. We chose not to hold one. Clearing your browser data erases this permanently, and we cannot recover it, because we never had it.

4. Data about creators

Our index contains information about creators, including display name, handle, public biography, self-declared location, pricing and public engagement statistics. This is collected from publicly accessible sources and constitutes personal data relating to those individuals.

We process it under legitimate interests, namely operating a search and discovery service that directs traffic to the creators themselves. Any creator may object to this processing and request removal at any time, with no account and no proof of identity required, via our Content Removal Policy. Removal is permanent and blocks future re-indexing.

5. Why we process it

6. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers strictly necessary to run the service: our hosting provider and our transactional email provider, which delivers sign-in links. Both process data on our instructions. We do not share personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics networks, because we use none.

We will disclose data where legally compelled to do so. Where we are permitted to notify you of such a request, we will.

7. How long we keep it

Deleting your account removes your email address, your saved profiles and your sessions. There is no soft delete and no retained tombstone containing your email.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. If you are in the EU or UK you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app at any time, without contacting us. To exercise any other right, email contact@fanswiper.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will never charge you for a request or make you justify it.

9. Children

This service is strictly for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how we handle data you have already given us, notify account holders by email.
